Lots of people ask us ‘ what is the difference between your Kenyan and Elite sandals?’ so we thought it would be great to explain a bit more.
Our Kenyan sandals are handmade in Kenya (Africa) by local artisans. They are always a bit stiff at the beginning but the leather stretches as you wear them. They get comfier with time and are long-lasting (Lucy still has a pair that is 8 years old).
They are very unique and colourful in terms of design, they are strong flat shoes, their rubber sole is non-slip and will let you walk miles.
If you like quality items, unique designs and long term benefits, you won’t be disappointed.
One thing you need to know is that they might feel tight at the beginning but they will get comfier.
Our Elite Sandals are embellished leather sandals, we think of them as our jewelled sandals. They are handmade in India by very small factories, like in Kenya, it is important for us to provide much needed jobs to local communities, and celebrating quality craftsmanship.
Why are they called Elite?
Made of natural leather sole and embellished bead by bead by hand, these sandals are a work of Art. They are very comfortable (I never got a blister with any of my 5 pairs) and people will notice them.
You can easily wear our Elite sandals at a cocktail party on Holidays with a nice dress and a statement clutch, and chances are people will be complimenting your sandals (it happened to me).
If you want an exclusive ‘not-available-on-the-high-street’ pair of Sandals, the elite collection is for you.
Some people say that they are more Kenyan or more Elite, I like to disagree.
I love my Snake silver Sandals (my everyday favourite), Neema multi Sandals (when I want to add some colours with a nice pedi), Luna Silver on Black Sandals (when it’s not the snake it’s the Luna), Cobra Gold (with short in jeans always) and I’ve got my eyes on the Cristelle orange sandals as I think orange is gonna be big this season and I love the shape!
